Fire Safety Certificate

The Interregional Association of Self-Regulatory Appraisers (SMAO) is one of the largest SRO appraisers.

The main function of the CMAO is to represent and protect the legitimate interests of SRO members, to provide information and legal support, and to resolve conflicts that arise in the process of assessment activities.

SMAO in Russia is represented by two organizations:

NP 'Community of Expertise Experts' SMAO - a statutory self-regulatory organization of experts, uniting specialists;
NP 'Community of valuation companies' SMAO - an organization that voluntarily unites companies that provide valuation services.

To date, more than 500 valuation companies and 3,000 appraisers from all regions of Russia are already members of the SMAO.

SMAO leaders are members of the Expert Advisory Council of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development. With the participation of NP SMAO leaders and leading specialists, many scientific methodological materials and standards have been developed.
The assessment of the competence and the confirmation of the high qualification of the experts by an independent third party is of the utmost importance.

Certification is a procedure to identify and recognize the most qualified legal persons and individual entrepreneurs who provide services in the field of evaluation activities, with the aim of further promotion and recommendation to consumers.

Certification is carried out in the following areas:

- real estate valuation;
- business valuation;
- evaluation of machinery and equipment

The Certification procedure provides for an in-depth verification and analysis of the Applicant, namely:

- verification of the report for compliance with the regulations on assessment activities,
- the presence in the state of at least two experts who have passed the certification procedure of the SMAO Association,
- analysis of internal documents governing the implementation of assessment activities (structure, regulations, including those on the quality control system and other documents),
- verification of full-time experts in terms of compliance with the requirements of the legislation on evaluation activities for membership in the SRO,
- analysis of the professional experience of personnel experts,
- consideration of customer information,
- analysis of the information support and literature used by the experts in their work,
- an interview conducted by the Certification Commission with the person in charge of the Applicant or the head of the structural unit of competence of the Applicant.
